Timberwolves Education Station "howls" for reading at Palmer Lake Elementary School
Crunch cheers with three students at the front of the room

Jan. 21 was a slam dunk for literacy at Palmer Lake Elementary School, when the school welcomed the Minnesota Timberwolves Education Station for a special visit with kindergarten and first grade students.

The event served as an exciting kick-off event for I Love to Read month in February. The presentation began with a visit from Crunch, the Timberwolves mascot, and a reading of The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, a story that brings a fun twist to the classic fairytale.

Following the story, the excitement moved to the Timberwolves Education Station bookmobile. To help encourage a love for reading at home, every student received a new book, bookmark and a Timberwolves-themed activity packet.
